John Crossan
John Richard Crossan, of Middletown, passed away on Tuesday, April 5, 2005, at his home. He was 55.
Mr. Crossan was born in Wilmington on July 12, 1949. He was the owner and operator of a dump truck and hauling company for 17 years until his retirement in 1990. Mr. Crossan will be fondly remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather and will be sadly missed by his beloved family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, James Crossan, and a sister, Kathy Rorher. He is survived by his devoted wife, Louetta Booth Crossan; four children, Dawn Crossan of Wilmington, Darrell Crossan of Bear, Alethea Schuyler of Greensboro, Md., and Amanda Crossan, of Bear; his mother, Jeanette Tuskevitch Crossan, of New Castle; two brothers, James Crossan, of Augustine Beach, and Mike Crossan, of New Castle; two sisters, Bea Thomas, of Delaware City, and Bonnie Green, of Middletown; and five grandchildren, Tabitha Crossan, Nicole Crossan, Brianne Crossan, William Holden, Jr. and Emily Crossan.
A funeral service was held on April 9, at the Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home. Interment followed in Hickory Grove Cemetery, Port Penn.
