anybody ever see this photo before? my dad said that Turnip was their mule.what i really like about this picture is the way that the bottom step is missing. let's hope that was the back porch. any comments on this? it is actually on a postcard with bob and turnip written on the back in what looks like Mrs. Barclays handwriting.

well... if that was the back step... theyd all be taking a flying leap on their way to the outhouse!!!!!
dad said that his mother owned 2 houses in tennessee- one for herself , and another across the street for her boys! (dont know where aunt dorothy lived!!!) maybe this was the boys house?!! Dad was pretty young when they lived in tennessee, so maybe the 2nd house was just a smaller buiding on the same property. he implied it was so the boys wouldn't mess up her house. i guess 8 boys could wreck havoc!!!

the bottom step is missing, look at the top one if you look closely it looks like it may have fallen down.

you are right shirley, that entire step is a mess!!! maybe she lived in the smaller house and let the boys run wild in the big house. Shirley, do you have any idea where they lived? i wondered if it was where George lived, or that vicinity? i wish James/Tony would help us out w/ some of his findings.

also, Beth, do you remember at Uncle Boyds there was a little house at the corner of the driveway when we were young? i think Mrs. Barclay stayed there for a while also.

was the house near the row of mimosa trees? they had alot of old sheds and buildings on their property. (at uncle boyds i mean.)

no, the house was right next to where you parked, before you walked into the back door. they tore it down when i was little. i wish kenny would get on here, he might remember.
