not really my favorite band back in the 7o's. but definately one of scott's! the walls of our house were so thin, that when scott played his cassette tapes late at night, even softly, i could hear the tunes clearly. creedence clearwater,al stewart, the who,-all bands i would never listen to on my own,-were played softly all night. (guess my poor bro had a sleep problem!) it was kind of an alternative universe of bands that were outside my normal music tastes. its wierd , but when i hear those songs on the radio, or as "muzac" in a store, it instantly brings back those memories, and i seem to remember every word & nuance in the music.......... (wish he had been playing foreign language tutoring tapes.. maybe i woulda learned something useful!!)

yes, Scott would play Al Kooper, The Super Sessions, on a continuous 8-track loop, with his bedroom door locked. night after night. to this day i can remember the order those songs were in. you would wake up in the middle of the night and there would be Mike Bloomfield, Al Kooper and Stephen Stills playing away at "Alberts Shuffle" or "Stop Messing Round". then you would drift back off to sleep waiting for the whirring click of the next track change.
