yes, lauder is her oldest son. when she came up here, she married a man named walt booth, but we called him uncle steve. they had 6 kids, helen, who's about 80 now, russell, little walt, phyllis, patsy...(and one more son..darn i forget his name now!!) Elaine will know. helen was my moms age, and helen has 4 daughters and a son, her oldest daughter, louetta was a year older than me, but in my grade. they all seem to be doing o.k. the last i saw them was at dads memorial service. they all came out & that was really nice. to tell you the truth, i dont know any of their ages except patsy (aunt dorothy's youngest child) she was born about1946. no one has seen Lauder since the early 60's. its a big family mystery. i went with my dad to see him several times , back in the late 50's. lauder was living in a high rise apt. right on the beach in miami. he sent me post cards from some places he travelled to ; Antiqua, dominican republic, some others i dont remember. one theory goes that he was selling weapons to the cuban revolutionaries, then disapeared. another theory is he joined the revolutionaries, fought in cuba, then fought in other latin american countries. uncle charley had a magazine about fiighting with che guevera in bolivia, and charley swore there was a photo of lauder there. and then some say he had a fight with his mom, and never returned or spoke to anyone after that. i dont believe that theory, cause he and dad were like brothers, and i dont think he would break all ties with my dad like that. i havent seen phyllis in about 10 years. i see and call her daughter holly occassionly.phyllis married a man named harry crawford, and they had 2 kids, holly (b.1960?) and brian (b.1961?) brian was killed in an auto accident @1975. after brians death, harry and phyllis split up. she was single for years, and had an antique store with her daughter. i think she remarried 8 or 10 years ago. elaine will have to fill you in on more exact dates & names, she knows more about that than i do!!
lauder was aunt dorothys son, sometimes went by barclay, sometimes booth. she then had Helen, Russel, Phyllis, Walt, Henry, and Patsy. Plus she raised Helens daughter Louetta. Lauder disappeared in the 1960's after the situation in Florida, where dad went to meet him. Apparently his brothers got in touch with him living in Texas a couple years ago, and he died a couple years ago!!! I just heard that from John Booth last summer. I will try to talk to Henry, and find out more. I have a few pics of him around. I will post more later.
the booths were talking about finding Lauder in texas a few years back ( they were discussing it at dads funeral). they found him there by searching internet records, but when they contacted the family, it seems he had recently died. then the family asked for money from the booths.,in return for further information. some of the booths thought the whole thing was a scam to get money from distraught familys looking for their loved ones. one of Lauders brothers was still in contact with the people in texas. maybe he found out more since then.

look at all the hair on uncle Wallace
I love this picture. Is Lauder Aunt Dorothy's Son? Is this the oldest of her children? Does she have a daughter named Phyllis?
